Casio enters the Atomic Age
I've been a huge fan of this Japanese watchmaker since forever.
They make functional, durable, comfortable, and very reasonably priced watches.
I love the simple elegance of their bottom-of-the-line, cheap black plastic watches.
I'd wear one instead of a Rolex, given the choice.
Now they're advertising their new line of Atomic watches (pictured in this post), synchronized by radio waves to the atomic clock in Colorado.
In addition, their latest offerings are solar-powered, so you never need a battery.
The watches reset themselves twice a year at the stroke of Daylight Savings Time.
Very nice.
The full line of 14 different models, digital and analog, are available here, starting at $67.50.
I remember that it wasn't all that many years ago that Junghans was the only manufacturer of atomic clock-synchronized wall clocks, which cost around $400 at the time.
