Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Goes Live Online
For the first time in its history (it began in 1962) the competition is going to offer live streaming audio and video as the contestants play.
Internet users will be invited to vote for a winner during the final phase, and a prize will be awarded to the pianist attracting the most electronic votes.
You can access the streaming through the competition's website, www.cliburn.org.
In addition, two bloggers have been invited to cover the event, which takes place May 20 through June 5 at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, Texas.
