'The Writer' — by Giancarlo Neri
This 30–foot–tall sculpture of a table and chair (above and below), currently located at the bottom of Parliament Hill on London's Hampstead Heath, is drawing all kinds of comment.
A BBC story last Friday offered 10 takes on the piece.
Rebecca Rose wrote in her story in today's Financial Times about the sculpture that "many of London's literati live barely a dog lead away from the Heath."
She continued, "Indeed you can practically smell the writer's block in the park air at certain times of day."
The installation has been in Rome for the past two years, in the Villa Ada.
It will remain in London until October of this year, at which time it will move on to its permanent home near Milan.

Wondrous! But the dog lead analogy makes me think of other smells, and what does writer's block smell like any how?
