'World's only blogging anesthesiologist' resigns title under pressure
After yesterday afternoon's post not only did the mail run heavily against my continuing to use my self–aggrandizing/proclaimed title but also my crack research team's investigations — now well into their second day and with no end in sight — of other anesthesiologists with blogs made it abundantly clear that I can no longer in good conscience claim to be unique in this regard.
As of this moment (3:53 p.m. ET) I count five other U.S. anesthesiologists with blogs and seven — five in Malaysia, one in France and one in Switzerland — foreign gas–passers who also blog.
So you will now find, should you click on the "About Me" link in the upper right hand corner of this blog, that "only" is no more.
Long live joeTV, where I plan to introduce each episode as "written, produced, directed by and starring yours truly, 'the world's only anesthesiologist–fool.'"
And you will pry that one away from me only out of my cold, dead hands.

If I were you, I'd brace myself for the fast-reading idiot (me) who sees the hyphen as an em-dash, as in "I'm an anaesthesiologist--FOOL!

What about "Formerly the world's only but now reduced to the first or at least ONE of the first and certainly daily posting and most entertaining and probably the smartest and funniest and well, ok, maybe a little peculiar but that only adds to the charm anesthesiologist-fool"?
