BehindTheMedspeak: Got Earwax? Episode 2 — Lighted Earwax Remover

Hgjhjhhjh

When we promise, we deliver.

Our pizza will arrive piping hot within 30 minutes of your order being placed — or you get free pizza for a year.

No ifs, ands or buts.

Wait a minute — where are we?

Oh, yeah, sorry, lost my place there for a moment.

Of course — we're in the cerumen space.

And as long as we're here, what's with the near–obsessive interest in earwax, measuring cups and kitchen timers here at bookofjoe, anyway?

Think about that while I plunge ahead.

From the website:

Never use thick cotton swabs in the delicate ear area again.

Lighted earwax remover lets you see into the ear canal for easy cleanings; it's even safe to use in children's sensitive ears.

    Never radiates heat!

Uses 2 button cell batteries (included).

Just a minute here, this is all moving way too fast for me.

When I first read the product description I will admit I got kind of excited: I thought that seeing what I was doing in there would make it much more effective and interesting.

So I was kind of disappointed when I read it again and realized that I was supposed to use this tool to evacuate under direct vision the contents of the external auditory canal of friends but that I couldn't partake on myself.

Where's the fun in that?

Might be a nice icebreaker at parties if the guests are very strange people.

Now that I think about it for a moment, I realize I've been to a couple like that.

But I digress.

The chance of having a child who's not comatose hold still long enough to let you use this on her or him is vanishingly small: if that's your intent then save your money.

Otherwise, go ahead: it's $6.99.
