Water Slice® — Slow–Release Watering Disk

111cgfhsfghyftghgg

Invented in Scotland, these brownish–red disks resemble thick slices of salami.

You put them in water and they expand to four times their original size (above) in three hours and hold their water, releasing it slowly over days or weeks, depending on the needs of your plant.

From the website:

For hanging baskets, houseplants and pots

Amazing new material quadruples in size when water is added.

Then it releases it gradually over days and weeks as needed by your plants.

This innovative new polymer was developed in Scotland.

When dry, each Water Slice® is only 2.25" x 0.6".

But it swells to 4.5" x 1" when water has been fully absorbed.

Useful for summer plantings in containers and hanging baskets.

Also for taking care of houseplants during vacations, when placed out of direct sunlight.

    Can be re–used.

When filled with water, Water Slice can be lifted out and placed in a hanging basket without dripping.

Material holds air as well as water, promoting healthy root development.

A pack of three is $9.95.
