Micro-Monumental: An exhibition of matchbox size sculptures
The show is up at the Flashpoint Gallery in Washington, D.C. through May 27.
It features 47 tiny sculptures by artists from four regional sculpture groups (Washington Sculptors Group, Baltimore's Sculptors Inc., Philadelphia Sculptors and New England Sculptors Association).
Among the works is "Sugar-Coated House on Stilts" (top) by Travis Childers, made of sugar, matte board and wood โ it measures 1" x 1.5" x 1.75".
The gallery is at 916 G Street NW; Tuesday-Saturday noon-6 p.m.; 202-315-1310; www.flashpointdc.org.
