When I was in 9th grade, my father invented something he called a Chair Topper. (He even got a patent on it, if I'm remembering correctly.) You slipped it on top of a towel and then fastened adjustable straps/clips in the back. It held your towel down and had pockets all around it for sunglasses, suntan oil, keys, etc. He manufactured it himself (three women on industrial sewing machines in an office building), marketed it, sold it...and we lost our asses on it. But it was fun while it lasted. We even periodically just sold them out of the back of a truck on Muscle Beach in Biloxi (right next to the the famous Bobbie's Bikinis truck). When I go and visit in June for Father's Day and his birthday, I'll have to tell him he wasn't wrong - just way ahead of his time! ;)
