'Derailed'

B00005jol401_sclzzzzzzz_hh

I watched this on DVD last evening, having initially decided to let it pass unwatched after the slew of dreadful reviews I read when it came out.

Pretty good, I thought, and full of nice surprises as it gets moving.

I couldn't figure out if Jennifer Aniston was really good or really bad — sometimes you can't tell if someone is doing a great job of acting or a really poor job of being herself.

Clive Owen: so great in "Croupier," his first major role but never quite as good since.

Vincent Cassel, who's big in Europe but whose largest claim to fame in the U.S. is his being Mr. Monica Bellucci.

Addison Timlin, Xzibit and RZA add overtones of violence and things best left unsaid.
