Eddie Money's 'Walk on Water'
I just found out where this great song's chorus came from: this song.
Doh!
I was out running, listening to Eddie Money's greatest hits album, "Sound of Money" (above) when track 6 came on.
Finally.
After all these years.
Who knew?
Like probably 99% of the people who buy this CD, I did so to hear the megahit "Take Me Home Tonight (Be My Baby), perhaps the first great mashup ever.
Ronnie (Veronica Bennett — aka Ronnie Spector, then-wife of Phil) of
"The Ronettes" chimes in with her ineffable voice and the song just explodes into your — well, at least my — brain.
There are a lot of other really good songs (below)
on this album.
"Two Tickets to Paradise"... oh, yeah.
