Road Rage Cards: 'Relax — and let the flip-book do the screaming!'

Sample_dimensions_front_1

Invented by Mika Larson, who sells them from her website named — surprise! — roadrage.com.

You get a spiral-bound book of 8- by 11-inch cards, each with one of 43 messages, for $19.99.

But here's the stroke of genius: on the back of each card is the mirror-image of the message so the doofus ahead of you can read it in their rearview mirror.

Don't know about you, but I find it really hard to read text that appears the right way round in a mirror. AMBULANCE written in reverse on the front really foxes me - my brain's expecting to see reversed text and gets all upset if it isn't.

I don't think these signs are a good idea anyway - if you want to shout at the other driver - then shout at them - but with the windows up. They ain't going to change their habits just 'cos you waved a bit of plastic at them.

Oh Nooooooooo!!! Bad, bad, bad! I can't speak for the entire worldofjoe, but here in Atlanta if you were to flash these cards at some highway menace you had better also have one that says "Somebody call the cops/get me an ambulance! I've been shot/knifed/beaten/robbed/gestured at threateningly on account of I agitated one of these already psychotic drivers by waving one of these cards at him/her!"

Just NOT a good idea. On any road. At any speed.
