A million dollar idea from a brain-dead anesthesiologist in a Podunk town
Tweak a treadmill such that it goes as fast — but no faster or slower — than the cat (or person, if there happens to be one sharing it) using it.
Long story short: I run fast, the treadmill matches my speed; I slow down to jog for a while, so does the treadmill to match me.
If Dean Kamen can create a wheelchair smart enough to rise up on two legs and safely go up and down the stairs with a person sitting in it, the SmartMill™ can't be all that difficult a concept to engineer.
Huge profits to the company that brings it to market first.
See how nice I am?
I even threw in the name for nothing.
