Got a screw loose? Fix it — with a Screw Hole Repair Strip™

102855

From the website:

    Screw Hole Repair Strips

Don't bother with temporary fixes: repair stripped screw holes easily and permanently.

Stripped, worn out screw holes are often problems in wood, plastic or metal.

Instead of trying to work a shim in there, insert this 3/4" x 2" metal strip into the hole, then drive the screw in — 100's of teeth bite like new!

    May be unscrewed.

32 strips for $7.99.

Personally, I prefer my method of chopsticks and woodglue.

Pop it in there, squirt some glue and wait an hour. Grab any available knife (I use my handy dandy steak knives because I don't know when the last time I actually ate redmeat at my house) and cut it flush.

Works perfectly for me...actually, I might have even gotten this advice on this site a few years ago. Never looked into metal shims again.
