Solar Panel Car Battery Charger

99737

Genius.

But why not take it to the obvious-even-to-peabrain-moi next level and design a solar panel into the car's roof or dashboard or area beneath the rear window?

No more dead batteries.

From the website:

Never have a dead battery in your car, boat, motorcycle, ATV or RV again!

1.8W Solar Charger harnesses the energy of the sun to keep your vehicle's battery fully charged and ready to go!

Simply plug it in to your vehicle's 12V lighter socket and position the panel to get the most available daylight — it charges the battery using solar energy.

....................

$19.99.

Good year.

I have wondered too why the don't install one in cars to keep the battery topped up?

er... also: that looks more like dash mounted than roof-mounted.

This will not work with any car that has a switched cigarette lighter.

worth mentioning.

how do you intend to charge a battery through a 12V lighter socket that is not a complete circuit to the batter when the key is out?

dumb.

(by the way, all VWs come with something like this to the dealerships, but when the PDIs are done (preparing the car for sale or the floor) these panels are removed and thrown away.

i have like 12 of them, and i'll sell them for HALF what these fools are asking!
$9.99 + shipping!

:)
