'Alles Grau' — by Nadine Robinson
It's up at the Studio Museum in Harlem (144 West 125th Street) through October 22.
The 11-foot-tall gray-black wall unit (above) has hundreds of embedded speakers which generate all manner of sounds and music.
Holland Cotter, writing in the September 8 New York Times, described the piece as "Gerhard Richter and HAL from '2001: A Space Odyssey' meet the Rapture."
