Keyboards for little people

1ttyui

About time.

From the website:
....................

These days, I am constantly on the computer and my wrists are killing me. In this day and age, I'm not the only one on the computer. So are both my little boys. Both my kids started using the computer when they turned three years old.

If adults have so many problems because they use the computer so much, I can't imagine how difficult and painful it must be for our kids (and anyone who is smaller than the average adult) to use an adult-sized computer keyboard. Thank goodness other people are on the same wavelength and have created interesting solutions... many inventors are way ahead of me on this one.

What are you talking about with this "for little people" nonsense? I've been inspired and am coloring my keyboard with Sharpie markers right now.

Minimice are good, too (search for laptop mouse). My daughter Pip's hands are just right for a laptop mouse, but too small for the trackballs the rest of the family have. She still has a trackball, but there's a mouse plugged in as well (they both work fine without clashes) and she swaps between them happily. Oh, and always get optical mice for kids. The infant school had dreadful trouble with grotty mouseballs till I persuaded to throw them all out and reequip with opticals - and they threw out all the disgusting mousemats, too.

We have a spare mouse plugged into one of the livingroom computers for when the parents in law come to visit 'cos they can't get their heads round trackballs.
