Red Hot Chili Peppers Stamp

Chilichili

Who knew?

Not me until earlier today when I asked the lady at the post office if they had any new stamps.

She proceeded to show me a sheet of the "Crops of the Americas" series, featuring none other than a red hot chili pepper and its green cousins as the flagship image of the five new stamps.

39¢ at post offices everywhere.

A thought: is that black line through the price an anti-counterfeiting feature?

Seems rather pathetic in this day and age, but oh, well.

I have been using them since the summer, too. The squash design is quite nice, IMO.

dude, they have been out for a while, been using them since the
summer! the pepper ones are the best, but the corn one is kind
of cute too! Kind of sad that ye ole post office doesn't have
much of a selection, although the other day I did buy some
nice snowflake ones for the winter.

I think the black line through the price on pictures of the stamps is so people won't print them out or cut them out of an ad and try to use them as actual stamps on actual letters.
