The Book of Cool — 'You choose what to master'
What's this?
Jonathan Margolis featured it on his "Technopolis" page in today's Financial Times "How To Spend It" magazine supplement.
Here's what he had to say.
"Parties are the time for party tricks; that why they're called party tricks, you know. And how we all love them. If you get me sufficiently legless, for example, I can sometimes be persuaded to play tunes on my head. But one party trick is generally good for one party. Strange to say, I've rarely been asked a second time to play tunes on my head. So what I've been on the lookout for for a while now is a new source of party tricks.
"And 'The Book of Cool' is undoubtedly it. With three companion DVDs, it teaches, or purports to teach, all the physical tricks you always wanted to master but never had the time to. From learning the definitive Frisbee backhand throw to shuffling cards like a pro.
"Talent and co-ordination are not included, however. So it may be a while before I move on from head tunes."
