White_spaceindent2lettersWhite_spaceindent2lettersWhite_spaceindent2lettersWhite_spaceindent2lettersWhite_spaceindent2letters—what brings me back
is resting my cheek in your hand,

like the small ovals Brancusi carved
from marble for the blind to see,

heads that, held until the cold weight
warmed, then laid back down, might

sway a while until they found again
that stillness of the tipped skull, cupped.
