What's a Scottish shower, anyway?
But I digress.
Ooh, those Italians.

"Scottish shower"?
It's got to be one of two things.
a) a fine drizzle that lasts all day and makes you a little moist and a lot miserable[1]
b) an unexpected freezing cold splash of water in the sporran region
Come on, enlighten us.
[1] We spent the week before Easter in the Highlands - the weather was glorious, apart from one damp cool morning it was warm and sunny so I'd better not be /too/ cruel about Scottish weather.

According to This link:
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-scottish-shower.htm
"[U]sers stand in an enclosed shower stall while either a trained therapist or an automated valve system alternates hot and cold water sprays. The user's circulatory system is said to benefit from the cycles of expansion and shrinkage."
