Why isn't this feature standard on all vehicles, not just commercial vans and trucks?

From the website:

Just affix device to the reverse light on any car, SUV, truck or trailer — no tools needed!

    Durable ABS plastic.

    1-1/2" x 1" x 3/4".

Hi..
where do I order this device?

Maybe, but the design concept is brilliant!

No wires to hook up and it knows when you are backing up?

I'll bet the side that attaches to the back up light has a sensor in it that looks to see if the backup light is lit. If it's lit, turn on the noise.

For $9.98? For $12.98 it could recharge it's own battery.

Yes to both, as well at the fact that people might start shooting the neighbors who back ever so slowly out of their driveways before dawn each morning.

Joe wonders: "Why isn't this feature standard on all vehicles, not just commercial vans and trucks?"

Uhh,

a) Because we have enough random noise polution?
b) Because if everyone had them, the alert would no longer be noticed when it was really needed - like when a vehicle that can not see behind (as opposed to a driver that just doesn't bother looking) is backing up
