Khushwant Singh's email address

I'm asked for it almost daily.
Usually I just dump the requests on Shawn Lea but I finally decided it's not her job to have to arouse our crack research team™ from its baseline stuperous state into something resembling consciousness.
So here's the much sought after but very elusive email address for this unique Indian personage (pictured above): editordh@deccanherald.co.in
Tell him I sent you.

Kindly refer to the report of the commission on the disputed structure at Ayodhya:
Even a below average student of medieval history knows that Babur was a foreign invader on the sacred soil of India. He bouthed the people mercilessly because he has no tolerance for the faith of others. In order to lionize his brutality, he ordered his lieutenant Mir Bauqui to demolish the Ram Temple and construct a dome on the four walls of the temple. The repot of ASI bailed testimony to the above fact that the walls of this disputed structure were that of temple. The structure is wrongly called Babri Mashjid as the other norms of a mosque are not covered by this structure. The first Guru of Sikhs and contemporary of Babur wrote the following lines regarding his merciless killing of the people of India.
“Khurasan khasmana kiya, Hindustan daraya,
Eeti mar paye kulana, teh ki dard nai aya.”
The saintly person was imprisoned by Babur and Guru Maharaj spoke to god.
Oh! God, did u not have pity on the people who were frightened and massacred by this cruel merciless invader. So this structure was a national shame on the soil of India. It should have been removed on 16 August, 1947, that is the first day after independence. There is nothing wrong in its demolition. What to talk of punishing those who pulled it down. They should be rewarded.
Hazrat Mohammad Sahib, in one of his sermons, said,” A camel can pass through the eye of a needle but a rich man cannot enter the gates of heaven.” He was of affirm opinion that a man become rich only by foil means and a king is a rich man par excellence. So any structure constructed by him to lionize his brutality cannot be Khuda Ka Ghar. Indians were so tolerant that they allowed the people of other faiths to settle in India and practice their faith, because they

believed in Vasudhaiv Kutumbhkan, the whole universe is one. They are not in favour of demolishing the worship place of other religions. But this structure and a few more, if constructed to lionize the brutality of invaders must be pulled down. Doctor Surkarano, the one
time president of Indonesia (largest mulsim populated country of the world) visited India a few years back. Before an audience, he said,” my parents loved the character of Karana in Mahabharata. So they named me Sukarana.” He further added,” we have changed our religion, no doubt, but we cannot change our ancestors and forefathers. We must respect them and honour them. Who disown their ancestors. Are known by other names, I don’t want to mention here.
Ninety nine percent of Muslims of India are converts from Hinduism. They are our brothern. M.C. Shagla, the chief justice of Bombay high court, used to tell his people that the Hindus blood run in our veins.
The construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya should be approved and appreciated by all the Mulsim converts of India barring Mugals who are foreigners here. We have removed the statue of Englishmen because they were foreigners and ruled oner us with an iron hand. So removal of this structure, which was not for any public good, was the need of the hour. Let us jointly pay respects to our forefathers and allow the construction of Ram Temple amicably.
Please acknowledge or falsify the above, so that I may revise my knowledge.

Hello Khushwantji,
How are you doing?
I am very curious to know when the name "Delhi/Dilli" had been started in use after pandawa's Inderprastha. Who coined the name Delhi first?
I tried my best to find the answer but wasn't sucessful. I hope you will not disappoint me.
You deserve a "pint" if you answer me.
Dank ye
Akm

MAHATMA BUDH AND GURU NANK DEV JI HAS ALSO BEEN INCLUDED IN THIS CATEGORY. IT IS NOT BELIEVABLE. I REQUEST TO SARDARJI TO REFER SOME MATERIAL FROM WHERE SARDARJI HAS SEEN THIS VIEW. I WANT TO GO THROUGH SUCH THE MATERIAL.
WISH HAPPY LONG LIFE FOR SARDARJI.

Hello sir,
I am a philosopher and a psychologist from India( hold master's in both of them too, though I don't believe merely by holding formal degrees one becomes a thinker, philosopher or psychologist..)
Recently I am working on an empirical problem on psycholinguistics ( on Whorf hypothesis, in particular). In that connection, I just recalled once statement made by Mr. Khuswant Singh, that English and not Punjabi is his 'first language'.
In this connection, I speculated that in India, there is a population from the elite socio-economic class, whose first language is English - in the sense that they are most comfortable in this language while speaking and even for the inner speech while talking to themselves), rather than the regional language of their dwelling place ( say Tamil for 'elite' person of Tamilnadu, or Punjabi for that of Punjab, etc), which can be termed as the native language.
So for such population, the first language is English, but the native language is regional language.
So -
I am focusing on a small special population of high socio-economic class, whose first language is English.
My query is -
Can we be sure that such a group exists?
Can some hard data be provided that such a group exists?

This is best hint for answer of your question: -
"Jal Main Meen Piyasi,
