Xip3 Hybrid Revolution Gear — 'Provides three distinct functions of jacket, backpack and pillow'
It's like a Certs commercial on steroids: instead of two — two — two mints in one you get three functions.
Lots more information on the website.
There's even a movie showing a boy converting his jacket into a backpack.
That's all well and good, joe, but where can we buy one?
That's a problem: it's vaporware as of now, best I can tell.
Supposed to cost $450 when it does go on sale.
Contact the manufacturer if you like — info@coregearlic.com — and ask them when it'll be available.
Tell them I sent you — that should guarantee no response.
Just kidding.
Or maybe not.

They are taking orders on the website now. They will be shipped in September. If you want a LIMITED EDITION of the true TRANSFORMER from the movie they will be available in November. Each will have their own number. Number 1 is going to Stephen Spielberg (executive producer) and Michael Bay (director) will be receiving jacket #2.
I contacted the company and they said there are only going to be 5000. I bet they will sell out early with all the craze with the movie.

Ahh but you must watch the video! It looks like you still have a pouch on the back of the jacket. Because this collage of goodies is "geared" toward the hiker..I'm assuming this is just an added plus to the equipment you are already bringing.

Tra-la. What does one do with the stash in the bag when one dons the jacket? Stuff the pockets perhaps? Do you sit on your rations? I'm perplexed.
