My favorite beef jerky
It's the Teriyaki Jerky (above) from Meadow Farms Country Smokehouse in beautiful Bishop, California.
At $34.95 a pound it's cheap, considering 1) that to end up with a pound of jerky you need to start with four times that amount of beef, and 2) its sensational, addictive taste and mouthfeel.
Simply superb.
Those of you fortunate enough to live in California can buy the company's signature product, Mahogany Smoked Bacon.
It's the best bacon I've ever had, far surpassing the excellent Nueske's featured here back on January 13, 2006.
Because of some California law, Meadow Farms can't ship outside the state.
Pity.
Back when I lived in L.A. this was one of my favorite indulgences.
At $8.50/pound it would be cheap at four times the price.
Sensational stuff.

Comments
Although they don't sell teriyaki, Ralph's Packing Company in Perkins, OK has unbelievable beef jerky. The regular is slightly peppery, the spicy is mildly spicy. The regular is the best.
Here's their website (ordering via phone):

If you try this and like it, I also know of a local company that makes bbq sauce that is the best sauce I've ever tried.

Joe,
You need Charcuterie: The Craft of Salting, Smoking, and Curing by, Ruhlman and Polcyn
ISBN 978-0393058291 W.W. Norton
At $24.00 on Amazon - you too can become a Jerky Mensch.
Finn's don't have the "sausage / preserved meat" gene because they lived too far north to glom onto Salt. See, Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky $11.00 at Amazon.
You could make BETTER jerky at home.... Trust me on this one - just look at the grid impressed on the jerky in your pic - it is from a commercial smoker rack. The Meadow Farms folks even tell you what cut they use - all that you need is your own marinade, some beef cut for you by the butcher and time.
Technodolt (tm) may be true - but this is neolithic technology (albeit, I don't think that the Soy products necessary for Teriyaki had been invented). Trust me - all Teriyaki is is good shō-yu http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soy_sauce and some Mirin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirin to make Teriyaki http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Cookbook:Teriyaki_Sauce (although Wikipedia suggests other ingredients - all you need are the Mirin and shō-yu )
Post your jerky pictures here! (*Some of us consider the digging dog a pretty jerky picture already*)

Looks like road kill Joe. But I have every confidence that it tastes as good as you say. : )
