See-Through Umbrella
This is such an obvious and excellent concept that I simply don't understand why every manufacturer doesn't offer one.
How much more pleasant to be able to look up and see what's coming down than be submerged in the shadow of the generic black brolly.
From the website:
- Domed Umbrella
See-Through Umbrella is dome shaped to protect hair and face from driving rain, wind and snow.
Unique shape provides a protective canopy from bad weather while transparent vinyl lets you see where you are going.
It really is a safe port in a storm!

Ha ha! So funny you post this. When I was in Tokyo earlier this year *everyone* had one of these! I was thinking "gee, for being such an advanced society in SO many other facets, they sure do have cheap ghetto-ass umbrellas!". Naturally, hours later I found myself walking down a busy sidewalk in a driving rain in search of an inexpensive, functional bumbershoot and suddenly I realized the choice was... well.... clear.

Yeah when those things get windshield wipers maybe they would be more popular.

These were hugely popular in the 60s, when I had one!
