Starbucks goes to Russia

Hljlkjlk_2

In yesterday's New York Times story Andrew E. Kramer wrote about the chain's long-anticipated entrance into the Russian coffee space.

Above, the first Starbucks in Russia, which opened in a mall near Moscow on Thursday, September 6, 2007.

Tatiana,

Could be, could be. Savoring my iced coffees along the way (with an undisclosed number of Splendas as that is super secret now but bear in mind it has something to do with the number of Splendas I add to my iced coffee on some mornings); warning: there's a butter churn now in the cooperative kitchen. One side is at war with the other :)

Hey, wasn't it the first McDonald's in Moscow that brought down the Soviet Union? Sure seemed that way at the time...

By pure coincidence today, purchased some Box Star chardonnay (southern Aussie wine). Better than black box, without a doubt and $5.00 less. Will last me a good week at least! What's up with that?
