Is that what it is called? I had no idea. I've had it for years and I've always called it the Empanada press.

I've had a set of these for ages. I don't use them often because the design makes it hard to be generous with the fillings - add a reasonable amount and they won't fold shut.

But why don't they make them square? (so that you don't have to reprocess the dough in between the circles?)

It takes 10 seconds to slice the dough and fork it shut.
