Oven Rack Burns — Episode 3: Push-n-Pull Tool
Protection from oven rack burns is one of my pet topics, although why that should be I haven't a clue.
I mean, it's been years — literally – since I turned my oven on.
But I digress.
Back in 2005 Episode 1 featured snap-on oven rack guards; Episode 2 last year featured a couple wood iterations of a rack push/pull tool.
And thus we arrive here today, with yet a third approach.
From the website:
- Oven Push-n-Pull Tool
Handle hot oven racks safely with this kitchen gadget.
Keep your hands safe by simply pushing the rack in and pulling out with the extra-long double hook.
Store in drawer or on the oven door handle.
Features:
• Steel hook with rubber handle
• Soft non-slip grip
• Dishwasher safe
• 12-1/2" long
$6.

I find it disturbing that at very nearly the instant you were posting this, I was burning my arm on an oven rack. Please, dear Joe, *won't* you use your psychic powers for good?
