Data Processing Magnifying Ruler

From websites:
- Data Processing Magnifying Ruler
9"-long center section isolates and magnifies one line at a time.
Magnified portion ruled one side in 1/16" and one side in 1/10".
Scales correlate with horizontal and vertical printout columns.

Until the data went digital, TV stations used to hand those out to media buyers so we could read the ratings in the individual market Nielsen books. When aligned perfectly, the info on the ruler itself would identify the proper columns you were reading, even 2/3 down the page. Still have mine for old timey sake.

Does anyone actually do data processing via paper any more?
I mean, I miss the days where I had reams of continuous green and white mainframe printouts designed for this purpose, but nostalgia is just that. If I need to see a line, I select it in Excel or SPSS or whatever and trudge down the columns...
