Diamond-Covered Door Handle

Anyone can put Swarovski crystals on anything but few will go this far.
From the April 5, 2008 Financial Times:
....................
Doors of Diamond
Designer Frédéric Attar has created what might be seen as the ultimate in luxury, a collection of brass door handles... embedded with diamonds, for Corinne Darmon's L'Universe de la Poignée.
Customers can choose white, yellow, pink or black diamonds or sapphires.
Prices for the handles alone [below] start at €750.
Each handle is sold with documents of authenticity.
An entirely encrusted handle [top]
can be ordered for about €1,000,000.

Hi Joe..Wow! We have seen some pretty expensive handles in our 9 years of retailing architectural fittings but this takes the biscuit! So let’s assume you put these on your kitchen cabinets... Say an average of 25 doors or drawers that's mmm about €25m please. Let me think..does that come with free appliances? Sorry no that's extra sir. I like the Frédéric Attar range, seems a more likely purchase, although not for me yet. All the best, Steve (Norwich - UK)
