My Favorite Soap — Savon de Marseille Extra Pur Figue

Jliujoiuoiu

Pictured above, it's made in Marseille by La Compagnie de Provence.

"Free of artificial color, animal fats and surfactants and rich in natural oils such as palm olive and coconut. This liquid soap has the delicate scent of fresh figs."

And what an exquisite scent it is.

I love the simplicity of the 500 ml bottle.

Cheap at twice the $18 price.

So certain am I you will find this soap appealing that I will restate the unique bookofjoe guarantee here, to wit: If for any reason it's not up to your liking or expections, email me and I will send you a check for $18.

Oh, and I'm *convinced* that the fig scent in the US version (plastic bottle, pictured above) is weaker than the French version (glass bottle, picured in Conran Shop link).

Agreed: this is the most awesome of soaps. I came across it staying at a friends' apartment in Paris and I couldn't believe it - I was repeatedly smelling my own hands. There's a bunch of other scents in the range, but I haven't tried any of them - the Fig rules.
