BehindTheMedspeak: Learn bronchial anatomy in your spare time

Nsfhsr

The art and science of one-lung ventilation rely on an expert working knowledge of bronchial anatomy (above), not easily acquired and very easily lost.

Now comes an online bronchoscopy simulator available to anyone who cares to sign on at Thoracic-Anesthesia.com, courtesy of Dr. Peter Slinger and colleagues at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine.

The simulator has been up since April of last year and over 1,000 residents and anesthesiologists have logged on to date.
