Chocolate-covered bacon — Episode 2: Chef Leslie Cooper is all over it

Gyigyg

Just in from Ms. Cooper, executive chef and owner of LUCA Chocolate in Ramseur, North Carolina, the following email: "A customer of mine sent me the link to your site. I thought you'd like to know about another source for chocolate-covered bacon. I started making it as a special request for a client, and it became so popular that I added it to my regular offerings. He even posted a video of the sampling."

But wait, it gets even better.

Unlike yesterday's featured purveyors, whose wares require travel to Santa Cruz, California or the upcoming Minnesota State Fair to sample, LUCA will ship its signature products right to your front door.

From the LUCA menu:

    The Bacon Box

I know what you're thinking ... this is a chocolate website, not a butcher shop.

But bear with me, you won't be disappointed.

The bacon box originated as a special request and it's become popular enough to warrant its own place on this page.

    Includes:

Chocolate-Covered Bacon: 8 pieces of super-crispy, super-bacony bacon, covered in your choice of milk or dark chocolate and very lightly sprinkled with sea salt

Bacon Caramels: 4 of our signature caramels, topped with a crisp piece of bacon and covered in your choice of milk or dark chocolate and a sprinkle of sea salt

Bourbon and Black Pepper Truffles: 2 dark chocolate truffles, spiked with Woodford Reserve™ bourbon and freshly ground black pepper, covered in dark chocolate

....................

$16.95.

Mmmm ... bacon.

Thanks for the feature, Joe! Jennie, fatcow is my very affordable web host, an unfortunate name, but a really nice company. I'm sorry you won't be trying the bacon chocolates!

Hmmm, I get in that neck of the woods from time to time. Guess I have a reason to stop. I mean, I'd like to sample chocolate covered bacon before ordering a box of it.
