I have seen the future and it's voice recognition — keyboard input is already over, it's just that most people haven't realized it yet
But you will after viewing the video above.
As William Gibson remarked, "The future is already here — it's just unevenly distributed."

You mean keyboard input on a device that is way too small to type on -- but folks have gotten use to anyways, or keyboard input on a normal, full sized machine?
I've used and recommended voice-recognition software for YEARS for folks in my university...not a single one is as competent or quick as my own fingers.
Voice rec is always going to be problematic...keyboard input might be supplanted by other technologies -- including technologies that use voice in collaboration with others, but not only because of voice. For instance, I cannot stand using the mouse while typing...but if I could be presented with word suggestions / corrections while typing that I could see voice taking over. Beyond that, every Mac I've bought in the last two years have had cameras built in...only a matter of time before these become powerful enough to do retinal scans for focus of attention.
Think about it -- those three technologies together along with an interface that used this consistently. We'd have a killer system. But as for keyboard input being done? I think it is only beginning.
