Can Amazon predict the election?

Last evening while I was noodling around there I noticed the graphic above, over on the right side of the homepage.

Seems to mirror most high-powered polls.

I wonder if this is the first — but by no means the last — time the virtual world offers a window into the "real" future.

Note the quotation marks around "real" — not just for effect.
