Would you want to sleep in this bed?
I can't speak for you but count me out.
This ad drives me away from American Airlines to a company that will let me lie down flat — and level.
"Unlike lie-flat seats, which are angled [top], flat-bed seats recline to a full 180 degrees."
You could look it up.
Emirates A380 First Class (below)...
that's more like it.

Sadly I've slept inflight on much worse accommodations while on military transport planes, the upper 'seat' looks comfy compared to laying atop a cargo pallet.

The day that I can afford to pay for a ticket that gets me into either one of those seats will be a happy day.

When I first glanced at it, I thought that was the Playboy logo, and I figured maybe they had a special area sectioned off for folks who want to get up to a little more than just sleeping, kind of thing. Like maybe, Tantric Airlines or something. (Which makes me think of that "tantra chair" deal whose videos look phonier than, um, something really phony.) That angled bed? Who wants to wake up with all the blood down in their feet, anyhow? When they start equipping airplanes with queen-size, four-poster beds with optional cat rental -- so you can feel right at home with felines laying around on feet, head, etc. -- then I'll sleep on one.
