Typealyzer — 'MMPI for blogs'

1ffsgh

The phrase up top in the headline is how the person who sent me a link to this site described it.

He's currently at an secure, undisclosed location in the lower 48 doing things that need doing.

No, not that kind of secure location.

Below, my psychograph.

The brains behind Typealyzer call it "automated psychographic text analysis.

Below, my brain on blogging.

Well, that explains everything.

MBTI for blogs, not MMPI! Didn't you have to do a fricken psych rotation 70 years ago when you were a resident!?!?!?!

Get it right, sheesh!

I love these type of personality assessments...I had an excellent mentor who taught me to accurately judge someone in about 2 to 3 minutes. While taking a recent mediation course, the lawyer tells us that he uses a lot of psychology and advices any arbitrator to learn as much as possible...and then says he also does it because he is so slick that no one can get into his head and figure out his tactics. Asked, so ya used things like the MBTI...to which he responded, "Yes, and if you know how to use it, you can have an advantage over anyone else". I asked, "so since your type is XYZZ, I would be able to know that you weren't good at dealing with...and could completely floor ya." (I can't remember what it was...it was either ESFJ or ENSJ).

Never seen a lawyer who controlled his personality so well just lose it so quickly telling me that I was wrong AND invading his privacy AND blah blah blah...I decided that he really didn't have much to teach me anyways...other than knowing that you can screw with lawyers pretty easily by digging through their head.

Anyhoo...back to the point, interesting that your blog type and Dan's are differing only by the E/I...reading through the two over the years, I'd agree. Yours is more a I like this and hopefully you do to kinda thing...where Dan's is a little more in your face. One is inwardly directed, the other outward. Other than that, probably a reason why I like both. I'm looking at my blog and thinking I need to get it more inline with my own personality now...its close, but not there...then again, I am back doing it by myself, so maybe it will be closer after I finally get my new server up and running and the blog started again.

Interesting...

I just pointed it at dansdata.blogsome.com. It thinks I'm "ETSP - The Doers":

The active and play-ful type. They are especially attuned to people and things around them and often full of energy, talking, joking and engaging in physical out-door activities.

The Doers are happiest with action-filled work which craves their full attention and focus. They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through. They might have a problem with sitting still or remaining inactive for any period of time.

I'm not particularly "attuned to people", not that I'm sure what that means anyway.

I am definitely not full of energy.

I do talk a lot. I joke often. But I would rather hammer nails into my feet than "engage in physical out-door activities", unless you count going for a little walk now and then.

More seriously, "They might be very impulsive and more keen on starting something new than following it through", like much of the rest of this characterisation, is perfectly typical Horoscope-Speak - statements about yourself with which you are very unlikely to disagree, no matter who you are.

"You appreciate food, and respond well to compliments. You think bacon is delicious, and have no more than one head."
