How come my cat doesn't seem to mind insanely loud music?

According to experts, cats' hearing is far better than that of humans and some believe their ears are potentially more susceptible to damage from loud noises than those of people.

Yet Gray Cat (above) doesn't seem to mind at all when the music's blasting here at bookofjoe World Headquarters™.

What gives?

Xtensor

Dftddfy

From websites:

Xtensor™ — Improve Dexterity and Ease Joint Stiffness

Relieve hand pain associated with arthritis, repetitive stress injuries, tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome and other conditions with The Xtensor.

It addresses the cause of pain, not just the symptoms.

The Xtensor slips on like a glove, enabling each finger to exercise independently.

Includes the Xtensor, 16 finger bands, two comfort pads, strap and instructions.

    Fits either hand.

Things I learned about world-class sushi this past weekend

Ptak671_tuna_f_20090109122004

1. The half of the bluefin tuna that faces up when it's caught is considered of higher quality than the side facing down.

2. The taste of high-grade sushi tuna improves with several days ageing.

You'll find these FunFacts, along with much else of interest to the sushi connoisseur, in Yumiko Ono's January 10, 2008 Wall Street Journal article, "Tasting the $100,000 Tuna."

Pictured up top, the trophy bluefin tuna referred to in the article's headline.

bookofjoe has technical issues — posts to be odd-looking/irregular/nonexistent for the indefinite future

HeadBanginghhgg

Long story short: TypePad last evening suddenly converted to a new publishing system — with zero notice or warning — that's incompatible with Mac OS 10.3.9, my long-time workhorse.

You need 10.4 or 10.5 for things to work properly from now on.

While I figure out what to do, posts will decrease in frequency and be bizarre in appearance and function, with non-working links, etc.

Mos def not a TechnoDolt™-friendly move by TypePad, fer shur.
