'Ode to Ice Cream' — by Sebastian Martorana
The Baltimore, Maryland sculptor created this series of seven trompe l'oeil variations on a theme of ice cream using marble, alabaster, limestone and soapstone.
This past Tuesday's post (below),
"Häagen-Dazs Coffee," was made from limestone, an ice cream container and a spoon.
Yesterday's post (below),
"Breyer's Vanilla," was carved from marble, and includes a sugar cone and ice cream container.
