That just sounds way too cheap for my liking. What kind of build quality can you have with 2 for $20? Not much. The biggest problem we face is our squandering of resources through manufacturing and then throwing away rubbish. The idea of solar powering this rubbish only makes things worse as there are a lot of resources needed to create the solar panel.

Would this product save more energy over its life than was consumed to make it?

As a youth, I remember the summer camp joke that included the "solar powered flashlight" as one of the best Polish inventions, alongside the "helicopter ejection seat" and the "submarine screen door."
