TechnoDolt™ Font Hack
I accidentally discovered this nice shortcut a few weeks ago.
The problem: many times when I try to copy and paste from a catalog's website, the typeface used in the catalog (example below)
.................................
Open jars easily! Just push this opener’s suction cup on to a metal lid, lock handle horizontally, and twist to open; then unlock handle and lift tab to release suction. Built-in metal blade cuts safety seals simply. Dishwasher-safe plastic. 8”Lx2¾”dia.
.................................
stays in my TypePad application, such that I have to laboriously retype the text into Typeface's default font.
Then I tried something: I copied the catalog text and pasted into my MacMail field, then copied that text into TypePad and voilà — there it was in TypePad font [below].

Apparently MacMail "translates" the font that's placed in the email text field into the default I've chosen, then "opens" TypePad's application to accomodate the content in the default TypePad font.
However it works (and any explanation you may offer will fall on dumb though not deaf ears), I'm down with it.
You can too.
