Michael Kors Channels Mephisto
When I saw his new lace-up bootie in yesterday's New York Times ad, for a second there I thought I was hallucinating.
Same eyelets, same laces as Mephisto.
Different heel,
$350 (for the Kors).

Landliners
I just coined it as a term for those in, shall we say, the older portion of the demographic pie.
So in the future when you see people referred to with this word, you'll know where it came from.
Unlike jokes.
Don't you ever wonder who makes them up?
I once read a science fiction story called "The Man Who Writes The Jokes" (or something like that) about this mystery; I can't for the life of me recall who wrote it.
Maybe someone will let me know so I can give the author a shout-out.
