Phishing attack so good it almost fooled me

Pictured above, it came in about 40 minutes ago.

I was about to click on the link to create a new password when I thought, wait a minute.

So I went to Twitter, logged out and then tried to log back in with my old password.

Worked fine.

Caveat lector.

Joe, on http://twitter.com/bookofjoe. Unless you really did send this:

# Playboy is taking a few people with them on this free cruise to Jamica! I'm invited - are you? http://whole234url.com/freecruise12:53 PM Oct 9th from API

Kris,
From my account or the Big Kuhana Joe (BOJ)?

Generally, it is dead simple to check the link...hover over it and if what is on the bottom of the screen is different than what is listed in the text, it is bad...

I haven't seen a link that Thunderbird or Entourage couldn't tell was a phoney simple by looking at it.

I have been repairing computers for, a long time! PLEASE, NEVER, NEVER directly reply to an Email stating it needs something from you...NO MATTER HOW IMMEDIATE YOU PERCEIVE THE CONTENTS!!!!! Take the time as Joe did, and go to that site via a new window or call by phone that site (NOT with a number the Email gives you). I know I'm being redundant, but I have seen the tragic outcomes of ignoring this simple exercise!

Um joe, I am getting LOTS of spam on twitter from your account. Might still want to change your password manually.

Wow, that is very convincing indeed.
