Virginia may be first state with vegetarian license plate
True.
Long story short, from veggieplates.org: "Time is getting short, though โ we need to have 350 prepaid applications by the end of November 2009 to submit (along with our plate design [above]) to the General Assembly, then to the DMV, for approval."
According to Leslie Sanford, a coordinator for the Richmond Vegetarian Festival whose group, along with Vegan Action and the Richmond Vegetarian Society, is among those spearheading the campaign, the number of applications submitted so far is "nowhere near what I need."

I love veggies like I never have before. This radical change happened this the past year, after I re-discovered the ones I disliked the most...are now my favorites :D

It is not true that vegetarians live longer than meat eaters - they just look older (because of their unhealthy diet).
Vegans are even worse off - after 15 to 20 years on that ridiculous, POMPOUS, PIUS, unhealthy diet, their teeth either fall out or need to be removed because of cavities. I know a large number of former vegans who went through this, and they say ALL long-term vegans have terrible teeth, if any at all.
Don't forget all those POMPOUS, PIUS, VILE vegans "parents" who were sent to jail after their children DIED because they were feed that MASSIVELY unhealthy vegan diet.

Our obsession? Like the same obsession that we are designed to do (except Milk, I'll give you that one), something that we had done since the dawn of time?
If there's going to be crackpots, it'll be backlash against the Green Revolution. Norman Borlaug should be well known for what he did (saved millions upon millions from starvation, and not indirectly demonized as part of the misplaced anger regarding GM foods.

I may sound like a crackpot (or like I was smoking a crack pipe) but years ahead our descendants will gasp at our obsession with eating meat/fish/milk products!
