Go Ducks
Last night was the first time I've seen Oregon's matte black football helmet (above) in HD: its industrial chic look is right smart amongst the sparkling metallic flake numbers sported by so many major college (and pro) teams.
Nice job, whomever designed it.

Being an Oregonian by choice, I have no feelings one way or another between the University of Oregon (above) and Oregon State University. The Friday before the Civil War game I make sure to wear my Chico State shirt, as it's blue and therefore cannot be construed as taking sides.
The fun of this UofO helmet is that it's a part of a massive suite of uniform options they rolled out this year, and according to this article, "All told, Oregon will have 80 different combinations (jersey/pant/helmet) at their disposal."
Another blogger compiled a complete list of all the fancy uniforms since the cofounder of Nike, Phil Knight, decided to start offloading his wealth to the UofO sports teams here.
