What is it? I'll tell you what it is. It's what happens to my vision when my eyeballs get squeezed when I read items online written by folks who write alot for a lot or loose for lose. I speak generally and not of bookofjoe, of course.
A similar effect, but squashed instead of squeezed, occurs when I read the word meme, apparently used exclusively in blogs, perhaps because real word use might well result in verbal if not physical abuse. I like Richard Dawkins, mostly, but I can never forgive him for inventing the word. The phrase "the title says it all" also causes the squashing effect because it's almost always followed by the further explanation of the title that is indeed required despite its author's initial statement.

Atom scrambling transportation device not yet perfected. (Poor box of oatmeal) Yet, somehow the alternate applications could make the company a fortune! Can you say bikini weather?
