C'était un Rendez-Vous — by Claude Lelouch
"On an August morning in 1976, French filmmaker Claude Lelouch mounted a gyro-stabilized camera to the bumper of a Ferrari 275 GTB and had a friend, a professional Formula 1 racer, drive at breakneck speed through the heart of Paris. No streets were closed, for Lelouch was unable to obtain a permit."

Thank you for this one. I just happened to be playing a song called "Invincible" by Adelitas Way while I viewed the video. F YEAH! I know some say they maxed out at 85mph and some say 120mph but try driving in downtown anywhere at 85mph. Some of those roads were cobblestone... This clip is a "must see" for any guy who remembers racing down roadways a lot faster than we should have in our early 20's.....

Hi,
It was actually a 6.9 litre Mercedes - with a Ferrari soundtrack. Great film.
Cheers,
Spencer.

I recall seeing this several years ago, and it's still a thrill. I'm glad no one was hurt, and also very glad the filmmaker pushed the creative envelope.
