The Kitten
Metal fabricator and bike builder Greg deGouveia of Big Kid Bike created this awesome 205-pound behemoth, which rolls on car tires.
Nik Schulz's interview with Degouveia in issue 21 of Make magazine takes you into the mind of the maker.
Said Degouveia, "The Kitten took me about a week for the frame and wheels. The headlights and brakes took about another week. The Kitten was built because the wheels were free. It's excessive and inefficient — it's sort of the anti-bike."
"Excessive and inefficient" — I like it.
But I digress.
He'll custom-make one just for you: all you have to do is put your lips together and ... email him: bigkidbike@gmail.com
Don't forget to mention I sent you to get his extra-special treatment, reserved for that elite few known to the greater world as joeheads.
Heh.

What's it got to do with kittens? Excessive and inefficient?
