For $68 you can endow this pothole
True.
According to a March 12, 2010 New York Times story, the German hamlet of Niederzimmern is so strapped for money that it has begun offering, in return for a mere $68 donation, to repair a pothole and then attach the donor's name to the newly filled hole.
Cheap at twice the price.
The bookofjoe Pothole in Niederzimmern.
Catchy, what?
According to the article, "The mayor, Christoph Schmidt-Rose, said the response has been encouraging. The idea, he said, is to make people 'feel like they own the pothole.'"
I've owned worse.
