Ochocinco's — The new breakfast of champions

Ochocinco-FRONT Final

Mark your calendar: Next Tuesday, September 7, at 11:30 a.m., Chad himself will introduce his new cereal — which comes in a "limited-edition collector's box" — at the Kroger Marketplace store in Newport, outside Cincinnati.

You could look it up. More:

As if Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco doesn’t already seem like he’s in 10 places at once in the marketing world, now he can join you at the breakfast table.

Pittsburgh-based PLB Sports and Ochocinco (formerly Chad Johnson), have created Ochocinco’s. The breakfast cereal’s box features a picture of No. 85 wearing his Bengals jersey and holding up two giant O-shaped pieces of the honey nut toasted cereal.

This is Ochocinco’s latest venture into the nation’s conscience. He appeared on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” last spring and then went into the reality TV dating business with “Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch” on VH1 during the summer.

Kroger stores will carry the Ochocinco cereal line. Mark your calendars, because Ochocinco will introduce the cereal Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 11:30 a.m. at the Kroger Marketplace store in Newport.

Believe it or not, Chad isn’t even the first Bengals receiver on the current roster to have his own cereal. PLB Sports launched T.O.'s, a cereal honoring wide receiver Terrell Owens, last year when Owens was a Buffalo Bill. The Bengals signed Owens during the off-season, and he apparently brought his cereal acumen with him.
